Basalt is volcanic rock. It is derived from solidification of volcanic lava. It is very hard rock, withstands the impact of the air, the weather and very high pressures.
Basalt is used in several countries as structural material, particularly in the railways, for highways coating, for non-slippers aprons due to high hardness, for millstone and as building material. It is also used as decorative material in the form of pebbles as well as spa product due to its ability to suck heat.
